An engaging, modern, and revelatory account of imperial Germany’s terrifying U-boat campaign along the North American coastline in the summer of 1918.

When America declared war on Germany in 1917, it unleashed aresumption of unrestricted submarine warfare off the North Americancoast.

Until now, German naval records have not been extensively utilizedin English-language histories of this brief but intense period of navalcombat in the Atlantic.

By studying and comparing both American andGerman archival sources, author Dominic Etzold has constructed the first balanced narrative history of the operation that is equally engaging, modern, and revelatory.[AuthorName]By Dominic Etzold[/AuthorName][AuthorBio]Dominic Etzold dedicated more than three years to the research for and composition of this manuscript.
