All-new evidence, insights, and scenarios in the case of the hijacking of Northwest Flight 305the only unsolved skyjackingsince the 50th anniversary in 2021. Companion volume to the author’s best sellerD. B. Cooper and Flight 305.

On November 24, 1971, at Portland, Oregon, a man who gave his name as Dan Cooper hijacked a Boeing 727, operating as Northwest Flight 305. He extorted $200,000 and escaped by parachute, never to be apprehended or identified. Fifty years later, inD. B. Cooper and Flight 305, Dr. Robert Edwards told the story of the hijacking.

In this all-new book,Edwards returns to the tale of D. B. Cooper, armedwith allrecent evidence and insights into the unsolved mystery.

Since the release of the author’s previous Cooper book in 2021, the FBI has released thousands of newly declassified documents. A ham radio operator listened in to the radio calls. A military pilot claimed to have seen the hijacker on the air stair. We now know the names of key witnesses, previously redacted. We know that voices in the FBI and in Northwest Airlines dissented from the official narrative and went unheard. We know the names of many suspects, including at least one who had actually parachuted from a 727, in a secret mission for the CIA.

With increasing confidence, we may believe that the FBI made the wrong call about where and when the hijacker jumped to freedom and into legend, and that they searched for him in the wrong place.

This book sets out what we know, what we do not know, and what, however improbable, we might take as true.[AuthorName]By Robert H.
